Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our non-profit client. If you have a background in non-profit accounting and a strong understanding of grants management, we encourage you to apply. As a Senior Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting month-end reconciliations, managing grants, and providing audit support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of non-profit accounting principles and experience in grant administration.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full cycle of grants, including application, reporting, and compliance.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with grant terms and reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances related to grants.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant-related transactions.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on non-profit accounting.
  • Strong grants management experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
